The intersection at Herring Cove Road and Dentith Road in Spryfield is ranked sixth by the city traffic department in terms of accident frequency. In 1984 there were 15 accidents at the traffic light-controlled intersection adjacent the Spryfield Town Centre. To date in 1985 there have been seven accidents recorded and winter driving conditions are just starting to affect the numbers. Most accidents at the corner are rear-end collisions blamed on driver inattention.
