Northwest Arm Drive Pumping Station
Work is proceeding on stage two of the North West Arm Drive project at the outfall end of the Chain Lake area, adjacent to the pumping and purification stations of the Halifax water supply system. This stage of the project is four-tenths of a mile, involving relocation of route three, protection of the water supply system and a viaduct spanning the CNR spillway at Chain Lake. North West Arm Drive, formerly known as the Dunbrack Street extention, will link the Spryfield area with the other principal routes into the Halifax peninsula. (Wamboldt-Waterfield) January 29, 1976.
