Lack of sidewalks and warning signals in this section of rapidly-growing Spryfield has caused concern for the safety of school children. Scores of children from Central and West Spryfield schools throng the Herring Cove Road during school days. The Spryfield Home and School Association has asked that RCMP post a special traffic constable or the province have warning lights erected for motorists. Bothe suggestions have been rejected but some warning signs will be added. 1958-05-28
