So on the way back we took the West Porters lake road which landed us in East Lawrencetown, being a very warm evening, ( in the afternoon was 100 degrees on our patio) we decided to make a stop at the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"357\" height=\"265\" src=\"https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/LawrencetownBeach_Pin.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2959\" style=\"width:357px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/LawrencetownBeach_Pin.jpg 357w, https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/LawrencetownBeach_Pin-300x223.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 357px) 100vw, 357px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Lawrencetown Beach is a provincial park with lots of parking, washrooms and changing rooms, so its a popular place and only about 35 kilometers from Halifax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lawrencetown beach is a fairly rocky beach, but it was not always that way, it had lots of sand until a hurricane sent rocks piled high on the shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_LawrencetownBeach5-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2955\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_LawrencetownBeach5-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_LawrencetownBeach5-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_LawrencetownBeach5-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_LawrencetownBeach5-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_LawrencetownBeach5.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Looking east down the beach.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s still a very popular beach and one that surfers use throughout the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_Lawrencetown-Beach-Sign2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2957\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_Lawrencetown-Beach-Sign2.jpg 800w, https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_Lawrencetown-Beach-Sign2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/seenovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/MH_Lawrencetown-Beach-Sign2-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>This information sign provides safety information to beach goers.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are stairs and boardwalks taking you from the parking lots to the beach, with lots of entrance points. Biking in the area is great on some of the local trails, more on that later.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" enjoy.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>We arrived there in the evening just in time to catch the sun sinking in the western sky, it was warm, the wind was low and there was a slight fog coming off of the cool water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" there.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking on the rock can be a bit tricky, but there are some nice views of plant life and grasses that border the parking lots and beach head.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" Beach.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We will be heading back to the area soon because there is a nearby trail called the Salt Marsh Trail that we have not been to for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your looking at camping in the area, Porters Lake Provincial Park is a provincial camping park close by on the West Porters Lake road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/parks.novascotia.ca\/park\/porters-lake\">https:\/\/parks.novascotia.ca\/park\/porters-lake<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you in the Halifax\/Dartmouth area be sure to make a trip to
