Most of the park is undeveloped but in 2016 Polycorp a local developer agreed to build trails in the park using excess materials from land clearing across the highway from the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"> The province had no plans to develop this untouched park but agreed as long as there was a community group to oversee the development and maintain the developed part of the park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Long Lake Provincial Park Association which was formed in the 1980&#8217;s to create a management plan for the park, were handed the task. The Association recruited a group of volunteers who became board members and members of the association .
