Went for a walk along Shaw Wilderness Trail today after the rain. Parking can be found on Purcell’s Cove road across from the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron. The trail is wide and smooth (crusher Run) up to the dam at Williams Lake. Then it follows the old paths that have Ben there for years, the trail is now marked with red trail markers. We veered off the trail to make our way to the old swimming rock, grandstand, fairly rough trail. Be aware that when we got back to our car we found 4 small black ticks on our jeans , after stopping at the brook for a couple photos.
