We will soon be setting out on more daytrips around Nova Scotia, one returning trip will be to Crescent Beach and the LaHave Islands near Bridgewater, nice views and if the sun is out a great beach.
Are you a fan of Tom Selleck and maybe his character Jessie Stone, did you know that the house that Jessie lives in, the one where he crosses a foot bridge to get to it is in Nova Scotia?
The house is in Stonehurst East, Lunenburg County. Here is a photo of the house and foot bridge, and the house on the movie poster.

We made a quick stop at Hobarts Beach near Summerville, Hants County, Nova Scotia. Nice typical Bay of Fundy beach, mud sea grass and rocks, but the tide goes way out lots of space for a quite walk. Read More
Went for a nice hike at Long Lake Park today, very warm day for Thanksgiving, wished we had brought bathing suites. The water was so calm that we wished we had been kayaking instead. Also met a friendly snake on our travelsRead More
Martinique beach is a provincial park on Nova Scotia’s eastern shore, just an hour from Halifax, with smooth sand and lots of room to roam. On good wave days surfers like to challenge themselves in the surf. The park has change rooms and pit toilets as well as picnic areas. Read More

Sherbrooke Village is located about 2.5 hours from Halifax, you can get there via 2 routes, Highway 104 to Antigonish, then down the 347 to Sherbrooke, or from Dartmouth via the number 7 highway to Sherbrooke. you can also take a few routes across the province to meet up with either the #7 or the #347 highways. We chose the number 7 from Dartmouth, this coastal highway along the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia offers a great view of the Atlantic Ocean from the many small towns and villages along the way. Places like Tangier, Spry Bay, Ecum Secum, and many others.
Arriving at the village there is a good size parking lot with picnic tables, this is where you pay your entrance fee and can check out the gift shop, we chose to check out the gift shop after we toured the village. Read More
